Frequently Asked Questions
1. Who can Participate in DBM?
• Participants aged 13 and older (as on date of event). In the case of 7 KM Fun Run and 3 KM Family Run, participants less than 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
2. What is the time for start of the event?
• Half Marathon will start at 5.00 AM, 10 KM run will start at 5.30 AM, the Fun Run will Start at 6.00 AM and the Family Run will start at 7.00 AM. You need to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start. You will be eligible for a timing certificate provided you cross the finish line within three hours and thirty minutes for Half Marathon and within two hours and Fifteen Minutes for 10 KM run. Timing mats will be removed at 8.30 AM.
3. Race Kit Collection:
• Race kit should be collected from the venue which is Ashramam Grounds, Kollam Date for collection of kit: 13th July, 2024 between 11 am to 0700 pm
• In case you cannot make it at the above times please authorize your friend to collect same on your behalf with:
1. Authorization letter signed by you
2. Copy of your registration confirmation email
3. Copy of ID proof
• You may collect another participant's race kit provided you have that participant's receipt, authorization letter to collect on his/her behalf and copy of participant's ID proof. Race Kit will not be provided to runner on the day of the race.
4.Cancellation the Registration.:
• Please note that no refund requests will be entertained once the registration has been completed.
5. Requests for Change in Category:
• No request for change in category will be entertained. Re-registration will be required to change a race category.
6. Transfer of Registration:
• No transfer of registration will be permitted.
7. Documents for Registration:
• A valid ID card is compulsory for registration to the event. An ID Proof is also mandatory for a Race Winner to claim his prize money.
8. There is no maximum age limit for any of the category of Run. The minimum age category will be as follows:
• The minimum age for the Half Marathon and 10 KM is 13 years as on 13th July, 2024.
• The minimum age for the Half Marathon is 16 years as on 13th July, 2024.
• The minimum age for the 10K Fun Run is 14 years as on 13th July, 2024.
• There is no minimum age for the 7 KM Fun Run and 5 KM Family Run but children have to run under the compulsorily supervision of the child's parents/guardian.
